Methodology

Horses of various breeds and disciplines were filmed at walk, trot and canter in a straight line in each of two girths: their regular one and the new Advantage girth.

Testing Conclusion

Computer analysis of the data taken confirms that the new girth reduces significantly the time taken to complete a stride. The increase in speed does not indicate rushing but rather the horse going forward in a positive way.

We believe that a forward horse is a ‘happy’ horse, which indicates that the tested horses were more comfortable with the Advantage girth design than their regular girths.

FAQ

• How do I know what size to choose? The Advantage Girth is measured like any other girth
  using the front straps only.
• Why are the buckles off set? The buckles are off set to give your horse the maximum amount of elbow room while not creating bulk.
• How should I fit my Advantage Girth? The front buckles should be as high as is reasonable possible, be mindful to leave a gap between your girth and saddle pad.

• Why does the Advantage Girth have a solid metal centre fitting? The metal centre plate is specifically designed to allow the fittings to rotate to fit each horse individually BUT not
  twist so the pressure distribution is even. (over tightening will cause damage to the centre plate and will not be covered in the guarantee)
• How do I clean/wash my Advantage Girth? The leather parts should be wiped clean using a damp cloth/sponge and allowed to dry naturally and then greased using a good quality grease/conditioner. The sheepskin pad can be washed in a washing machine on a gentle
  cycle using a neutral detergent. Any synthetic part can be washed using clean warm water.
• Should I order a leather or sheepskin pad? You can choose which one you feel is most suitable for your horse they are attached by Velcro so are inter-changeable.

• What is different about the “Low Profile”? The Low Profile Girth is designed for horses that have deep wrinkles of skin around their elbows, reducing the depth profile creates a closer contact to minimises the surface area for the “wrinkles” to rub against.
• Will the Advantage Girth solve saddle slip? No, the Advantage Girth has been designed to give your horse greater freedom of movement through the shoulder/elbow and ribcage to provide extra comfort and increase performance.
